A Winter Romance

When a half-nymph rescues a city boy lost in the mountains, he brings him back to his cave. Problem is, there is only one bed.

Aryn should never have left the city. If he hadn’t, he wouldn’t have gotten lost in the mountains, thrown by his horse, and left stumbling through the snow, trying not to freeze to death. All seems hopeless to Aryn, when suddenly a half nymph appears in the forest before him.

After suffering a heartbreak, Sero sought quiet in the forest, away from his village. But his plan of solitude is ruined when he comes across Aryn, a man who clearly does not belong in these mountains. Now Sero is stuck caring for him. He brings Aryn back to his cave, and unfortunately there is only one bed.

When a cold, snowy night turns steamy hot, Sero decides that perhaps the man isn’t so bad after all. On an impulse, Sero invites Aryn to stay with him in his village until the winter solstice festivities. But as the solstice draws near and feelings grow, could there be a chance for something more than just a winter romance?

A mountain nymph with a crush. A man scared to have his heart broken.

Ori’s whole world stopped the moment he saw the human working at the pottery wheel. Ori didn’t know why the man had this effect on him. He was older than Ori. And larger. In fact, he seemed the complete opposite of him. But Ori knew he wanted the man’s dark eyes focused on him. Unfortunately, when he approaches the human, it is clear he wants nothing to do with Ori.

Wareth’s life is as he wants it. Sure, his closest friend says he’s alone, grumpy, standoffish, and closed off from others. But Wareth knows the truth. If you make yourself vulnerable, you’ll get hurt. No. It’s better to focus on his pottery. Pottery can’t hurt him. Pottery is safe.

But when one day an oread, a mountain nymph – eager, young, and with a smile that lights up the room – turns up in Wareth’s studio, looking at him in ways he shouldn’t, it stirs something deep inside Wareth. Is he willing to open himself up and risk getting his heart broken? Or will Ori’s crush remain unrequited?
